California, Estados Unidos.- La actriz Kelly Preston falleció este 12 de julio a los 57 años debido a una larga batalla con el cáncer de mama.

La esposa de John Travolta tuvo complicaciones derivadas del cáncer y el representante de la familia fue el encargado de dar la triste noticia.

Asimismo Travolta hablo del tema en sus redes sociales donde coloco una fotografía de Kelly y un texto para detallar su pena.

Agradeció a los doctores y enfermeras que durante tanto tiempo ayudaron a su pareja a vivir y sobrellevar el cáncer.

“Era un alma brillante, preciosa y amorosa que se preocupaba profundamente por los demás y que aportaba vida a todo lo que tocaba”, dijo.

Su carrera profesional empezó en 1985 con Mischief” y fue adquiriendo fama con sus intervenciones en “Twins”, “Jerry Maguire” y “For Love of the Game”.

También tuvo papeles en “Battlefield Earth”, “Death Sentence” y “Old Dogs” y en el videoclip “She Will Be Loved”, de Maroon 5.

En 1991, Kelly Preston y John Travolta se casaron, ella embarazada de su primer hijo, Jett.

Ahora el mundo del entretenimiento estadounidense ha perdido una gran figura, mientras que su familia y amigos lamentan el adiós Kelly.

It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many.  My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side. Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered. I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a while.  But please know that I will feel your outpouring of love in the weeks and months ahead as we heal.
