La temporada de premios a lo mejor de la industria de los videojuegos por fin ha comenzado. The Game Awards, la gala más importante de reconocimiento a videojuegos ha anunciado sus nominaciones para la edición 2023.

Como cada año, la premiación organizada por Geoff Keighley busca reconocer a los mejores títulos que salieron en los últimos 12 meses. En una transmisión en vivo transmitida a través de sus redes, el evento anunció las categorías y nominados correspondientes para el evento de 2023.

La mayor atención la ha recibido, como era de esperarse, el cotizado premio al Juego del Año 2023.  En esta ocasión, The Game Awards ha nominado para GOTY a los siguiente títulos: The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Spider-Man 2, Baldur’s Gate III, Alan Wake II y Super Mario Wonder.

Al ser un año con grandes títulos, la lista de nominados no ha levantando tanta sorpresa. Para muchos, los títulos listados representan lo mejor de lo mejor en la industria, especialmente en un año que tuvo una gran cantidad de juegos con una calidad sin precedentes. No obstante, es notoria la ausencia de algunas producciones que muchos gamers consideraban candidatos al GOTY. Entre estos está Starfield, Final Fantasy XVI o Dead Space Remake.
